BIG BATCH BLOODY

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 cucumbers

  • 46 oz. can tomato juice

  • 2 oz. lemon juice

  • 2 oz. lime juice

  • 1 oz. Worcestershire

  • 1 oz. prepared horseradish

  • 1 Tbsp. tabasco

  • 1 Tbsp. black pepper

  • 1 tsp. celery salt

  • 1 tsp. ground cumin

  • 1 tsp. ground coriander

DIRECTIONS

  1. Wash and roughly chop cucumbers. Place in blender and blend until completely pureed. Strain through fine mesh sieve reserving the water & disposing of the pulp. Be sure to gently press down on the pulp to release all the water. Should produce about 2 cups.

  2. Combine 2 cups cucumber water with the rest of the ingredients except the cumin & coriander.

  3. Toast cumin & coriander over medium-high heat, in a small sauté pan. Be sure to constantly monitor pan, moving the spices around until deep brown and smoking but not burnt. Remove from heat and immediately add to liquid to stop cooking.

  4. Allow this mixture to sit overnight allowing ingredients to meld together.

Garnish: Serving this Big Batch Bloody at a gathering? Get creative and put out all the possible garnishes people could want. Celery sticks, skewered olives, pickled vegetables, cheese cubes, salami, cooked bacon strips…there are countless possibilities. Be sure in include putting out Fresh ground black pepper, hot sauce & more citrus so people can adjust the drink to their liking.
